Posted by New Jerusalem Singers at 02:15 AM on June 15, 2009 Comments comments (0)

We are staying busy for the Lord and getting busier.  Along with pastoring a church we are also including some additional singings.  The newst thing we have coming up is our anniversary sing on June 27th at Holy Ground Coffeehouse in Springfield, IL and we will be releasing our new CD "Sing, Sing, Sing".  This has many of the songs we are singing now as we go out.  We attended the singing in Manito, IL on Saturday and had a great time and heard some great singers. Be sure to check out our schedule. We look forward to seeing you soon.

2009 is here and we are rady for what God has in store for us.  We are busy with the church and the coffeehouse this year and we hope to get other bookings.  It is harder since we pastor but we know there will be opportunities for us to sing.  We look forward to meeting new folks this year and getting to hear some new groups.  If you have any suggestions I am up to listening. We do hope to see you at the coffeehouse in Springfield, IL or at the church in Atterberry, IL. Wtch the schedule to see where we will be next. Have a great 2009!

A Busy Saturday!

This was a busy Saturday.  We are usually at Holy Ground Coffeehouse on the 4th Saturday but we were asked to sing for a church we fellowship with - in Kilbourne for their wiener roast.  They had a great crowd and Pastor Abraham said it was the largest he has seen (over 100).  We had a great time.  Of course, the most requested song lately, was requested again so Ed sang "The Butter Bean Song".

Tonight at Holy Ground Coffeehouse we were finally able to get "The Chosen Ones" from Manchester, IL booked. We expected a large crowd and from what I have heard it was a big crowd tonight.  Thanks to everyone who came out to listen and help support this group.  I look forward to hearing more positive comments from others who attended.  Thanks Chosen Ones - for coming!

We have just a few more singings left this year.  Of course Ray will be playing Santa at the mall so the next couple months will be busy for him.  Next year our goal is to record a couple CD's (one has to be a Christmas one), and since Ed is singing with us now - we need to get our new sound onto a CD.  We hope that we will see you at a singing sometime this year.  We are keeping busy with Cowboy Church - at our church in Atterberry. It keeps growing, and that is great.

Until next time = keep looking up!

Sunday at Brother James Court

Posted by New Jerusalem Singers at 11:49 AM on August 11, 2008 Comments comments (0)
Yesterday we were at Brother James Court in Springfield to sing for the residents.  What a time!  I am not sure who had the most fun - the residents or us.  We enjoyed singing for them.  If you ever get a chance to sing there - go.  The men like fast songs and will sing with you.  We did some favorite hymns and we also asked for requests.  Sure glad Ed is with us now and can sing some songs we may not know all the words for.

2008 is pretty well booked for us now.  I am working a part time job and have to work some Saturdays so this takes our time away from traveling too far away.  We are preparing to book for 2009 although it will be limited - so get your order in now to be sure your date is reserved.

We are keeping very busy as we handle the church, coffeehouse and the group.  We enjoy it all so it is hard to give up anything.

Be sure to check out the website to see what all is happening.

Jacksonville this past Saturday

We had a great time of singing in Jacksonville this past weekend.  Paul Summers did a great job of getting groups together to sing.  Although it was hot - there was a breeze that blew once in a while.  It was good to see some of the folks again.  We have not been going to some of the singings because I started working a part time job and I work some evenings.  I hope to be able to get to some in the future.

We have a few singings coming up so come out and join us when you can.

Grafton Full Gospel Church Tonight

Posted by New Jerusalem Singers at 11:45 PM on April 13, 2008 Comments comments (0)
What a great service we were in tonight.  The folks at Grafton are great.  They allow God to be God. They come expecting God to move and - he does.  All it takes are willing vessels.  We seen several come for healing, young folks came to rededicate their lives. Folks were touched through prophecy.  It was just an awesome move of God.  We enjoy going to Grafton and hope it is not 2 years before we return.  I am so glad we serve a great big wonderful God!

Trust God

We were at Atterberry Baptist Church today and Ray ministered on Trusting God. No matter how many times you know that you need to trust  God - sometimes it is good to hear it again. As we go through life sometimes it seems like we forget about the little things.
It was a good morning.

Every day we need to trust God for what we have need of.  There are so many folks in need of prayer today. We lift them all up in prayer and we are believing God to touch every situation.
I will try to name a few that needs a touch and if I forget someone - I am sorry - but God knows each need
For healing:
Ken, Shirley, Ruth, Zachary, Frances, Dan, Randy, Ken, Linda, Tera, Matt, Floyd. Ray, Cindy, Charlie, Martha,
For family situations
Joey, Starr
We need to remember
Atterberry church that is looking for a pastor
Churches and pastors that need encouragement

We need to trust God.

Maybe next time we can talk about dreams - goals - visions - in our life.
Until Next Time - we are....

Sunday in Shipman and other stuff

Posted by New Jerusalem Singers at 10:31 AM on January 25, 2008 Comments comments (0)
We had a good time in Shipman last Sunday. Had a good crowd and folks came from Jerseyville, Grafton, Springfield and other places I am not sure of from where. God was in the house!

Had our board meeting tonight for the ministry. Things went well.  Ray appointed a new board director so we look forward to some new ideas and thoughts in the future.

Keep checking out the calendar to see if we are coming to your area.  If not - ask your pastor to invite us.

January Singing soon

Posted by New Jerusalem Singers at 11:28 AM on January 14, 2008 Comments comments (0)
January 26 will soon be here. We are looking forward to "getting back in the saddle" again at Holy Ground. I have finished working the Santa set - now time to start singing again.   Our first sing at Holy Ground will be a fun-packed evening. We are having some of our friends come out and sing for you. The Peeks, Living Proof, Mutch Love, His Obedient Servants and Ron Senters. It's gonna be fun!  If you haven't been to Holy Ground come and join us. (You would find these groups at, what we have ehard, "the rowdy tables").

I hope you can join us.  2008 will bring some new things to the coffeehouse and we hope you like the changes.  I am still open to hearing from groups or anyone who would like to sing.  You can email me and let me know more about your group (or you).

I hope to be getting some new bookings this year for New Jerusalem Singers - so watch the calendar for these updates.

Until next time - I am
In His Grip - Cindy
